1. General Information
a) Students apply for a 1 year,

and may request an extension of study at the end of the first year.
The extension will be granted based on the student’s progress
and behavior.
b) Prospective students who currently
hold a Tourist or J-1 visa may apply for an F-1 status through this
Program. Current F-1 students may apply for a transfer.
c) Students must provide documentation
of their ability to pay tuition for the program and living expenses
in the U.S. (see Acceptable Documentation).
2. Curriculum and Requirements
a) Required classes: 40 classes
per month, including 20 classes in the Limon technique.
b) The Peridance Director and
the Limón Institute Director will suggest a schedule based
on the student’s level and experience.
c) Students must report to both
the Peridance and Limón offices once a month to evaluate
attendance and progress. At this time, changes in the student’s
program of study maybe suggested. Should a student’s attendance
record be poor, disciplinary action will be taken after proper warning,
including possible dismissal from the program.
d) Students are encouraged to
take more than the 40 classes per month. Additional classes may
be purchased at the regular price at Peridance or the Limon Institute.
e) Participation in special workshops:
at Peridance, students may apply a portion of their tuition towards
these workshops; at the Limón Institute, individual arrangements
must be discussed with the Director.
f) Any participation in workshops
or other studies outside of Peridance or Limón must be pre-approved
by the Directors. No compensation for any of these activities may
be accepted by the student, and no class may be missed for these
activities.
g) At the end of the period of
study (1 year), the student will receive a certificate of completion
and a written evaluation. Students with poor attendance, or who
do not complete the stated period of study will not receive the
certificate or evaluation.
3. Vacation
a) Students may take up to 1
month of vacation during the period of study, but vacation time
is part of the visa period. Any absence beyond the allotted 1 month
must be approved by Peridance Center and the Limón Institute.
b) Should a student take a vacation
during the year, he/she must make up the number of classes that
were missed in addition to maintaining the regular schedule during
the two months following his/her absence. Each school will allow
a student to make up 20 classes.
4. Tuition: $7,200 per year (visa processing fees not included)
a) Students pay the full tuition
upon written notification of acceptance.
b) If a student’s application
is refused by Immigration authorities, any tuition
paid will be refunded. The application fee of $200, however, is non-refundable.
c) If Peridance and the Limón
Institute are notified prior to a student’s arrival in the
United States that he/she is unable to attend on the scheduled date
due to a verified illness or injury, a new date will be set, and
if necessary, new papers will be sent.
d) The tuition fee stated above
is subject to change, although once tuition is paid, the increase
will not take effect for the current year of study.
